I am working on a DIY solution now like that. I managed to bypass the second battery thus far and have all operations run off the main battery, then I Tazered the ESS. My next step is to use one of the Aux switches in momentary mode to trigger a solenoid to reconnect it to the main battery if it needs a boost to start.. Then just add a conventional battery isolator to keep the aux battery charged.
What is momentary mode and will the small battery be enough to start the Jeep in very cold weather?

Apparently people have successfully started the jeep after removing the main battery from the vehicle completely.

I just ordered one and am looking forward to its arrival. Here are pictures from the Overland Expo East. I wasn’t going to order the monitor, but then I knew it would drive me crazy being blind to what was going on. The smaller battery is removed and they are both group 25 batteries. Smaller than the JK’s batteries. Hopefully they will live up to the task.

Nothing yet up on their website. Did you order in person at the show? I think the Group 25 batteries are only slightly lower capacity than the the 34 on the JK kit.

What did they say about compatibility with the 2.0 Turbo or Diesel or 3.6 BSG models?

Nice mod. Do you know if the in dash battery voltage meter etc all work as should with this setup? The 529 price doesn't seem too bad if you can get the batter elsewhere for a far cheaper price. Sometimes you can get 50 - 75 off codes at Advanced Autoparts and buy 1 batt at a time for a good deal.

Yes, I ordered in person at the show. I met Shane, the owner, there. Nice guy. He was offering 10% off which I appreciated.

My order shipped yesterday and should arrive Monday. The batteries are coming straight from Odyssey and will lag a little late behind.

If you email Shane I am sure you can place an order. I had an extra battery box to power my fridge that I just wanted to free up space in the back of the Jeep.

The G screen should work great, Shane recommended installing it above the rear view mirror so we will see how it goes.

I forgot to add about the compatibility of the other engines...I didn’t ask because I have the standard 3.6, but I think I read somewhere where it was compatible.

I've had conversations with Shane a couple of times in the last two years, at Jeep Beach in Daytona Beach Florida. Indeed a "nice guy" that takes the time to listen, to explain, etc.. Real obvious when you talk with him that he really is knowledgeable, etc.. He's a young guy that has a clue...

Yes, I didn’t know he was the owner until he handed me his card at the end of our conversation. He has also been very quick with email replies with questions I have been sending him.

He was sharing his booth or was right next to what looked like Ripp Superchargers. That would have been great addition but I am trying to keep my build as reasonable as possible. Here is a picture of their Jeep next to Shane’s. I like their fenders too.

Did he mention how his system is compensating for the smart alernator charging logic?

I also bought one at overland expo. Great guy and he does know his stuff. Expo was a real mud fest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I lasted from thursday to sat and then left. Lots of people stuck in the camping field....Glad I got out with my rig.
