I have the Gen 3 on my JL , My alternator went out it might have been out for a while I'm not sure I replaced it with a brand new Mopar 240 amp. I noticed it is charging at a 14 volt plus amperage. Sometimes every once in a while I'll go out to start it and it won't start I'll have to lift the hood physically go out there and turn it to on the switch with the green light on the Gen 3 and then it will start. I'm not sure what the issue is here maybe my starting battery went dead while the when the alternator went out? Anybody have any idea what this could be would be very helpful thank you!

I've had my aux battery (fullriver) ran down and it seemed the battery would not go above 4.2v no matter the driving.

I used the NOCO repair mode, then on normal charge mode and that seem to have been the remedy. It's been about three months without issues.

Hi Carlos,
I just saw this post. Did you get this figured out yet? If your alternator is not working properly, then the vehicle would be running from the power in the battery, and it would eventually get too low, and the engine would shut off. If you suspect the vehicle was running from the battery, I'd recommend putting a good battery charger on it for a day or two to top it off and you'll probably be good to go. If you need any additional help, don't hesitate to call us at 901-214-5337 or email [email protected]
