Genesis Duel Battery Upgrade by Tank Customs

i finally managed to get rid of the ESS battery and my JL‘s battery system went from a caterpillar to a butterfly so to speak, visited my favorite off-road shop Tank Customs here in Houston Tx and @TTEChris hooked me up well Ryan his partner did the work and like always a perfect job as all looks very tidy.

Pics are not the best as it’s late and dark but as you can see I did have the stock system with the baby ESS battery buried but now running with the Genesis system using Full River batteries, I will still use my Deltran tender for now but will likely order a NOCO Genius 10 very soon as it’s a better tender charger, I know batteries don’t last forever but now I have a built in jump pack as with the push of a button I can connect the two batteries together and it will still take some bit of work to get the batteries out when it’s time but I won’t have to do anything serious to get to them as far as I can tell

So far I am finding out the that 1.25 amp tender is not cutting it, these are 64 amp hour batteries so basically it’s a 12 volt system but 128 amp hours of battery which is a huge jump from factory.

My teeny tiny Deltran has been connected for over a day and still not in float mode but from speaking with Shane at Genesis and @Overland_Texas that my tender is pretty undersized for what I’m trying to do and may take a few days or more to get to 100% so I can see a NOCO Genius 10 or Odesey 20 amp charger tender in my future

Well I posted this in another area but figured I would try to keep it all together, anyway I went with a NOCO Genius 10 charger tender and also reached out to Full River to get some suggestions on the charging of the Full River 750’s I’m using and they recommended using the 12v selection over the 12v AGM selection as the AGM choice charges at 14.8 over there 14.7 recommendation but I see the NOCO comes in at 14.5 on the 12 v charge so guessing it better to be slightly under that slightly over
