Running UD60s with 4.88 gears. It has some pep but feels sluggish. Anyone running 5.38s with tons? Tire size is 38x13.50r17.

Jeep is 2021 JLU v6 with 8speed auto.

You can play with any numbers you want on my https://bt39.com/GearWheelSpeed
I changed the 2nd row to use 37.5" tire , the gears are lower than stock

I ordered my 60/80 set-up with 5.38's.

The RPM charts do no take into account net weight gain. Something to remember.

My 60/80 (Fusion) axles are also getting 5.38’s. A beadlocks and a 40’s gonna run ~120# or so and rotational weight isn’t something to overlook

Yes! you can 100% feel the weight of those UD60s. Just trying to make sure that going with 5.38s is the right thing to do.

That's only a 10% difference, more or less. Think 10% more torque multiplication is enough?

Thats the million dollar question. Some folks say 5.38s will be a day/night difference, but not sure for everyday driving.
