Good evening all,

I have a 2018 JLU Sahara I get 20 around town and 25 on the highway. I want to do a 1.5-2.5 inch lift with 35 inch tires. I don’t know if I will get different wheels, it depends on the tires that will fit on my stock 18’s. I am going to upgrade the brakes, probably with the Mopar kit. The larger wheels will create much more rolling mass. Question is, 1) what brakes are y’all running and 2) how much did your gas mileage suffer with the bigger tires?

Did you end up updating tire size?

Im on the fence about doing it but also wondering if anyone local to me would let me pay them to update mine before I spend $300+ to do it myself

yes with the Tazer. you cant really pay someone else to do it for you; as in, you cant share a programmer. you can pay the dealer $100 or buy a tazer lite for $219.

you could run them for awhile without reprogramming and see how it does. then decide if you want to do it. i just did a budget lift (spacers) and 35s on wife's cousin's JLU without a programmer. if she ends up needing one we'll get one.

2.5" lift and 35" tires on my Sport S. Stock brakes as of right now, and no plans to upgrade. MPG suffered a little bit, but well worth it.

JLUR with the 3.6l and 35's and I'm getting 17 mpg pretty consistently. I've seen it as high as 18.5 and as low as 15.5 running 80 mph on the interstate, depends on the wind and any hills. I've only got 2000 miles on it and I've seen some people say it might go up a little after it's broken in so who knows.

I'm averaging about 17-18 with 35s, depending on how heavy my right foot is.

You need the tuner to adjust for tire size. If you don't then your speedometer will be off, as will your odometer. If these are off then you mpg readout will be inaccurate as well. Simple math. Also, for automatics, it will adjust your shift points.

I'm rolling 37's on beadlocks and get 15-17 mpg (depends on wind, hills, speed, etc).

No lift, running 315 cooper sst in a diesel. Average mileage with 90% freeway going up from sea level to 6,000 feet daily I get between 25 and 27 mpg depending on the skinny pedal. I am happy with that. I had the speedo recalibrated for the tires.
