You obviously don’t understand the concept. Sure you can go out there with less, but you can also benefit from more torque for off-roading, and more HP for other activities including just overcoming rolling & wind resistance efficiently at highways speed which would help your MPG argument.Oh please, people have been offroading hardcore with a lot less HP over the years. Nearly 300 HP is more than powerful enough for all of those needs in a vehicle as light as the JL.
+1I've noticed on my JLUR 35-45 is the sweet spot for city and 55-65 for hwy to squeeze out the most mpg's.
I've been wondering how much of an effect in MPG is driving topless....the jeep of course :cwl:...summer is going to be a blast in L.AI've got 1500 miles on my Rubicon and yet to break the 20 mpg mark. In fact, have not even hit trhe 19mpg mark yet. Driven mostly country roads and very gingerly for the break in period. I do not foresee mine ever breaking 20 unless I have a lo g all highway trip. Maybe this summer when I go to the beach. Of course, I will probably have the top off by then which my effect mpg as well.
After my oil change (1200 miles) and with more miles it's only gets better.I've got 1500 miles on my Rubicon and yet to break the 20 mpg mark. In fact, have not even hit trhe 19mpg mark yet.
