Mileage since last fill up was probably 80/20 city/highway. Dash said 25.6 mpg. Reality when dividing miles driven by gallons added = 21.6. Still happy with that but demonstrates the wild optimism of the vehicle’s estimate.

Went on a trip from Texas to Montana with a fair amount of wind and snow in Colorado towing a small trailer. Trailer and contents probably around 2500lbs, my average speed was probably 70mph. I averaged 14.8 mpg for the 1700 mile trip so I'm rather impressed considering the weather/road conditions along with going uphill most of the trip.

I remember reading the answers to this on the JK forums. They ranged from 10mpg to 35 mpg (I think someone had problems with basic math). Most of the EPA mileage figures are for one example of a model, usually the most efficient and is run on a computer course. There are way too many variables to have a consistent figure. Ten percent Ethanol gas gets around 15% less mileage but costs 20 cents a gallon less than regular gas. The same person can drive the same course one day apart and have a wide variance. Temperature, traffic, stops, just the way you step on the accelerator. And don't go by the dash reading. You have to measure yourself. If you ever watched Mythbusters they did several tests on mileage and they often used an external 1 gallon gas tank and a calibrated speedometer to show how three different people driving same vehicle one after the other on a closed course could get different results. Don't worry about it unless you are getting 5 mpg or 40 mpg (if the latter sell it back to FCA for a big profit so they can figure out why and improve all of our mileages).

info here is useless.
Realistic MPG comparison requires more info than a readout of the dash numbers.

Engine
Trans
Tire size
Re cal of speedo yes no
Fuel Octane used
ESS on or off
percent of city vs highway driving and average speed

Also consider after changing stock tires did you calibrate the speedometer? My 3.6L JLUR is on a 2.5in lift with 35 Mickeys with the 4:10 rear dana 44 and it says 17mpg but it also says Im going 65mph when Im actually going 70. All of these things make a difference. I estimate my speedo being around 8% off then so is my calculated gas mileage. 17 mpg is probably closer to 18.5 ish. Your dealer can calibrate the speedo usually at no charge in about 5-10 minutes time.
What is involved in doing the calibration? My dealer said FCA had not sent them the software to be able to do it.

I'm getting as much as 23 mpg, doing 70 highway, according to the trip computer. This is w/o running cruise control.

I have an Unlimited manual Sport, w/around 1000 miles on it.

My speedometer and GPS readings match, speed wise.

My tires are all set to 36 psi.

I use Chevron/87 Octane gas.

As an update, on winter blend gas over the past couple of weeks, my mileage has fallen 2 MPG from 19 to 17. I'm about 80/20 in favor of city driving. 6500 miles.

:surprised:I guess I have the worst mpg. 14.5 mpg 80% highway. 75-80 mph. Manual Rubicon, stock tires. AND a supercharger. But I’m pretty sure the supercharger is responsible for 1-2 mpg loss. The cold weather seems to have impacted by another 2 mpg.
I’m not complaining, just sharing some statistics.
No Prius here. And if I go over 80mph will be because a Prius tried to pass me.
Anyone else have the left lane open. :giggle:

Stock '19 JLUS, auto trans, ESS enabled - averaging 14.5 city. I don't beat it and try and keep it in the power band when accelerating between 2.5 and 3.3k RPM. Feels to me like the transmission down shifts aggressively. Not happy.
