Tracking with Autosist, I was in the upper 19's but recently dropped to the mid 16's.

My situation is a little unique as we enter "tourist season" traffic becomes much heavier, much longer waits at intersections, and slower driving. My commute during "off-season" takes 25 mins, during season it jumps to 45-50, so that is probably more to do with my drop in MPG than anything else.

2019 Sahara 4 door, all stock, only 850 miles on it. I average round 17.5 to 18.5MPG. I'm a musician and pull an enclosed music gear trailer on most Fridays & Saturdays. The trailer is a 5X8X6. I'm in the country here, with little stop and go traffic, 45-55MPH country roads and 70MPH on the interstate. I sold my 2005 Wrangler Unlimited and was averaging 18-19MPG. I use BP 87 octane. Love my Sahara, except maybe the ESS :) !

Are you a drummer? Drummers are people who hang out with musicians!

Allieboy, good one mate, that's frickin funny......drummers always get the "short stick".....Actually, I'm a guitarist/vocalist in a duo...we perform original and cover music...it's a blast. Have a Valentines gig tonight bout an hour away. Here's one of the instruments I play, a home made cigar box guitar.

Normally, I don't give a you-know-what about MPG but first take was about 14 but since I've gone to 35s I'm down to 12 and that's with a Tazer. I haven't really been on a highway much yet but this stinks

mmm, not sure if this is a thing or not, but i am now seeing changes to my mpg/gas mileage. Changed from stock 33 k02 running at about 33psi. and gas mileage of 19.7 av on the highway/town.
To 35s Nitto trail grappler 35x12.5x17 at around 31psi, seeing my gas drop so far down to 14 AV same conditions.
Also seeing gear shift issues never reached 8 unless down hill, and get to 7 with a push, my guess is that would explan the Gas drop,

does anyone know how to change the gear rev shift range, to accommodate these changes?

Yeah...they use the very base model with the smallest tires for the mpg tests...and that applies to the whole line. The Rubi will get less by a decent amount.

16 range is what I get in my '12 JKUR around town usually. Easy on the hwy (70-75) is in the 17-18 range. That's a stock, manual JKUR.

So you're probably about right. I would think your hwy will be improved over the JKUR more than anything.
I have a 18 JLR 3.6 with a oil catch can and now get 20 mpg... here my post click #12313

I have a brand new, 2 week old 2018 Wrangler JL 4 door, standard wheels. Somehow I've burned through 1/4 of a tank driving 50 miles in 2WD, which is basically 10 miles / gallon. Even if I were in bumper to bumper traffic the entire time, this seems unusual. Any advice or should I have it looked at?

I'd let the engine break in some more before you bring it in. I have a 2019 JLU Sahara 2.0 turbo. I was getting approx. 16 mpgs now after 3 months I'm averaging approx. 19-22.

Two things... bumper to bumper is like for me sitting in car pool line at school. It like sit and move an inch or two... so that does not help... Second is your engine oil is still new and see attached as to my oil plan. Plus after you start getting 16 mpg consider a oil catch can... I went from 16+ to 19+ and have 2200 miles.

So longer drive and don't gun it, plus change your oil and get a oil catch can.... https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...-your-jeep-jl-today.3033/page-821#post-565733

Happy Jeeping...
