Come on Metal Cloak! Get on this for us diesel guys... also looking for a diesel specific 3.5... we definitely need stiffer springs than the 3.6.

We are only seeing about a 1/4" less height out of the diesels and are still coming in over advertized. The weight is not much more than the e-torque gassers.

I’ve got the MC game changer 3.5 with 6pack shocks on my JLURD since April. The springs are fine. In fact, I wouldn’t want them stiffer. I have an after market steel rear bumper and tire carrier. Front bumper is aluminum with a winch. MC fenders and I also have steel rock rails so plenty of extra weight. No under carriage armor yet.

Love it. Has worked great towing a 3000 pound trailer and running trails in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and California. I’ve put about 17000 miles on the setup.

Many thanks. This is the setup I am going to get. Now to save the money for it.

The 2.5 Gamechanger sags quit a bit in the front with the diesel. Heavy LOD full rear bumper and tire carrier. Mid LOD front bumper without the winch installed yet. Rear end WAY up in the air.

I asked them about this and I’m not sure their kits level no mater the weight. Basically it maintains the factory rake. When you add the diesel it noses down more. I believe they make their own shim kit adjust though. My JLURD is the same color with a similar setup. What wheels and tires are those? I’m trying to decide between 35 and 37s and still looking for a wheel that doesn’t stick out too far.

We have had a 3.5” kit on our Diesel for a while now and love it. The extra bit of weight makes the Jeep ride better than an equivalent 3.6l or 2.0t. I would say the ride is fairly close to stock with their rocksport shocks.
I never understand a dealer not warranting a lift over a certain height. This kit gives you the same amount of shock travel whether it be 2.5 or 3.5. I could be wrong but the only difference I’ve noticed between the two kits are the springs. Both will require a front driveshaft which is why I’m assuming they made that blanket statement about lifts over 2.5”. The Mopar kit while similar in height to a 2.5” Metalcloak has much less travel and therefore doesn’t require a driveshaft upgrade.
If it were my money I would get the 3.5” on the Diesel. We have installed a few now, on our daily driven JLU running 40’s we added 3/4” spacers for that extra bit of height.

On this JLU running 37’s we kept the kit as is(no extra spacers). The KO2’s on this Jeep are closer to a 36” tire than a 37”, but it looks great IMO.

That looks quite a bit off for the way the kits normally sit. Please give us a call so we can figure out what is going on with it.

Wheels and tires are Mickey’s. 35x12.5-17
Per Metalcloak, 4.5 backspacing is needed.

I’m throwing some different coils in the rear tomorrow. Also installing the winch and a Rigid light on the front bumper. I’ll take some pics when I get it done. Hopefully it doesn’t sit like a drag car after tomorrow.

I have the same issue with the front sitting so much lower than the rear. Mine is about 2” lower in the front. I sent a message through FB to MC and was told I’m supposed to have a rake. I was hoping to be level. I run the Arcus bumper on the front to keep weight down and I have an aftermarket tire carrier on the back.
