Galaxy's Edge Overland Bins at Disneyland

Just came back from Disneyland. I've been there countless times growing up but it was my first time at Galaxy's Edge and LOVED the design. Especially all their storage bins lol. It gave me the idea to design my own storage bins based on that aesthetic. I was wondering if any Disney/Star Wars nerds out have thought about this and don't mind sharing photos.

I've seen a lot of Adam Savage's TESTED videos about weathering items to make them look old and used. This particular video comes to mind:


Below are photos of my bins and the bins at Disneyland. (Listen, is this dumb? yeah, some people like feet and some people like dumb projects.)

I'm a Disney nerd, and think it's a fun idea. I have not done that, but in my other nerd hobby, I've done some weathering work that may give you some other ideas.

I used some gray primer and a rust colored paint first, before putting on the main paint finish. Then took some sandpaper and other random tools to kind of rough it up and make it look like it had flown a bunch and had some rust starting in spots.

It worked really well.
