Unfortunately my Jeep was delivered right before I had to leave for vacation so I only got to enjoy it for about an hour before I had to leave. I returned late this last Saturday and first thing I did Sunday was install my stubby antenna that my mother gave me for a birthday gift.

I went with this one:

https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/16-stubby-antenna-jeep-wrangler-jk-jl

Love the look and so far I’ve noticed no change in reception. Granted I’ve only had it on and used for a few hours but I’ll take it.

I didn’t think to get pics when I was done so a garage shot will have to do.

Parts already ordered:

Hood struts
Dead pedal
Door sill guards

Still to order/finalize option: some sort of rock rail / step. My girlfriend and I aren’t quite tall enough to get in there without some effort lol

Welcome fellow Gecko!
Thanks!

I noticed you’re located in PA! That’s where I was born and raised until I moved for work.

May I ask where in general you’re from?

Small city of DuBois..20 mins from the groundhog
Ha! I know Dubois pretty well.

Drove all over the state for my job when I somehow inexplicably was transferred back. Was responsible for the natural gas wells stretching from Butler County all the way to Lycoming county.

If I’m home with the Jeep I’ll keep an eye out when traveling through the area for another gecko!

I’m originally from the Philadelphia area

Yea it is. I have a funny story about meeting an old girl friend who was somehow (not romantically) connected to my best friend and neither of us (my friend and I) knew at the time. I’ll tell ya via DM sometime if you’d like lol

Thank you for the compliment. My Jeep rolled off the carrier with 15 miles. I’m at 45 or so now.

Enjoy your rig...I'm currently on the Quadratec site putting my wish list together. Done a few things, mostly protection...door sills, mopar all weather mats, running boards and a bottle of touch up paint 🤣

Would you mind telling me which running board option you went with? That’s my biggest target next. Girlfriend and I are loving the jeep but getting tired getting in and out 🤣

I went with the mopar side steps...ordered through my dealership (FIL was a Honda manager with a lot of connections with local dealers so they treat him well)

Thank you!

I’ve been leaning towards the ACE engineering rock rails as they don’t require losing the Rubi rails but I’m not sure. Trying to find someone who has them so I can see what the measurement is from the ground to the top of the bar where the foot would go

Yeah the rock rails are awesome looking and would be a shame to have to lose them

The more I look at the Gecko, the more I love the color. Gorgeous jeep! I’m still waiting on my build since 8/28 😢
