I love this story and the many others like it. I was late to the party, not getting my first Jeep until 2016. It’s the 2004 TJ in my sig. It‘s a 4.0 L auto with just over 100 k miles….barely broken in. Hard top for the winter, soft top and no doors for the summer. I’m 60 now and have wanted a Jeep since the 80’s riding in my buddies CJ5. Hot summer days just don’t feel that hot with the top down and the doors off…I love it!

I’ve got a 2dr Willys on order and can’t wait to get it. Unfortunately, I’ll probably have to let the TJ go…done a bunch of work..mainly just making it dependable…but still a lot of sweat involved.

I never thought I’d get hooked…but I think I’m here to stay now!

Bought me first jeep in 1972, a 1949 Willys Wagon. Was a practical vehicle for me...we were in the desert, and it went everywhere, got good mileage and was easy to work on. I once replafed the fuel pump lying in the dirt by the road, using a crescent wrench and a screwdriver.
