I briefly looked at my transfer case, the other day while under my rig, to do a fluid change in the future. I have Artec skids and it would be a pretty difficult thing to drain the fluid without dropping that section of the skids. So, I thought it might be worthwhile to install a Fumoto drain while I have have the skid panel off.
I see that the plugs are a type of tapered pipe thread. I'm wondering if anyone has done this and figured out the thread type (NPT or Metric) and size. I know the 3.6 plugs in the side of the block for coolant drains are metric tapered pipe. But, I think the transfer case is a long time U.S. maker and may well be NPT. Anyone know the thread size of the transfer case?
