3.7. I typed that wrong though, it was 24+, not 27+. Still great though.

Don’t be like that. If she says she only loves you and your 5” is enough for her that’s all that matters, right? Don’t worry about that work friend she has that they call Horse.

Reading threads of people who spent almost $50K on non-Rubicon models ask about swapping Rubi-axles and/or lockers in the most cost effective because Rubicon's are overpriced.
Well thats cause people are dumb. I spent 31.5k on my 2 door sport S. Pretty loaded too.

Me watching Rubicon owners use their lockers on a dirt road. 😭

*because they can.
This, only on ice😳! I looked at them all before buying. The Rubi has some serious off road chops, but the ones out when I was looking were all option heavy and a lot of $$ for stuff I’d never use. My little JL with limited slip rear had everything I wanted and at a $32.5k price was tough to beat. For MY use it’s been great-YMMV

I have built a YJ (1995), built a Sport (2010) and am on my 2nd Rubicon (2018 and 2021). If I were to buy one today IMO the best stock option is the Willys XR.
Standard tires are 33 not 32. Just a small correction.

I am curious what dont you like about the front axle?

They claim to be 33" but when you bust out the measuring tape the KO2s are 31.5" and the other ones are 32"

I agreed with you on the camera. Until I went to Moab. While not needed it was nice when coming down a really steep ledge. I was able to see over the lip into the hole so I knew exactly where my tire was in relation to the deeper part of it on the passenger side. It also helps when climbing really steep hills. As I can see over the top edge before my front tires crest it. I can see what’s there and if the trail makes a hard left or right as I come over.
Again not needed but it sure is nice in those situations.
And yes I’ve done similar trails and obstacles just fine for years without a camera.
Is it worth the $500 up charge? Probably not. But a cheaper aftermarket one would be nice. Several friends are looking into getting aftermarket cameras for their Jeeps now after seeing mine in action lol. And yes they are experienced off-roaders. Lol

We have both a JLURXR and then a regular JLUR both 22s both loaded. I ordered the non XR for my wife and we got tired of waiting and I found the XR that someone had backed out on so we bought it.

4 weeks later my brother-in-law called me and said it’s in and I have to give you first dibs on it for what I quoted you.

I had ordered it in December of 21 before the price increase and he gave me 4% off the MSRP.

I showed my wife her name on the window sticker and that was all it took for her to kick her grand Cherokee to the curb as the JLURXR was for her that I traded in my truck and corvette for.

And all of the sudden I had a 4 week old JLURXR to call my own. Before the temp tags were off it she say some decent trails.

The XR has been off road a lot in the last year. My wife will wheel it with me providing guidance but I can’t get her to take hers off road.

If I were to order again I would not do the safety group.

You definitely could build something better for less starting with another Jeep but the rubicon was exactly what I wanted and I take my cats for rides all the time so I was able to get every option except leather. The remote start is nice, being able to fit 35s just by getting bump stops.

Honestly it’s nice you have the option to get leather or not, my cats go for Jeep rides and I really don’t want leather. Also summertime is miserable with black leather

Of course it is. It’s the topic you brought up. Why are you here in the thread, other than to make a snide comment to evoke such a response? Is that not the response you wanted? Did you feel your post was useful and in line with the topic at hand, or was it intended just as I took it to be?
