Not sure of a torque spec but I just recently did my fuel filter. I just spun said cap till it stopped and was facing the same direction as it was previously, and gave it a little extra torque. Maybe like 20-25 ft/lb, not much torque but enough. Last thing I wanted was to break the cap, and I have yet to have any leaks.

I did the same. The engineering in me just needed a factory torque spec.

Thanks. Allen

I prefer a little extra tweak.

I think that it is as bonedheadedly simple as lining up the slot in the skid plate with the drain tube. I agree, this is not as comfortable as having torque specs. Especially since I doubt that many people will actually drain water through the slot; so correct lineup is largely irrelevant.

I found the torque spec for the fuel filter cap. It is 18 lb.-ft.
