Front license plate help

just put on the barricade aluminum front bumper with a winch and unfortunately live in Texas where we need front plates. Any ideas? Would prefer not to drill into the bumper.

There are lots of fairlead license plate mounts available. If that’s the look your going for.

Look for flip-up fairlead license plate mounts. The two bolts of your fairlead will hold it on. When you want to use your winch you just flip the plate up. There are many to choose between.

one option is to pick up a couple of tubular mounting brackets, and a piece of 1/4” thick license plate backing from eBay, and some stainless fasteners and mount similar to this. You will have some vertical variability if you drill some extra holes in the plastic backing and aluminum plate. I actually have a metal backing plate in this setup because of the lights being mounted, but I have the plastic backing on another vehicle. The plastic is like rigid tractor trailer mud flap material but cut to size and flat. Plastic backing that I have used is this on eBay: “(2 Pack) BLACK ABS PLASTIC SHEET 1/4" X 6" X 12" VACUUM FORMING RC BODY HOBBY. I also posted the picture of the metal frame purchased from Amazon, which is used on the Jeep in this post. The holes are pre-drilled for various options.

I wanted to keep my fairlead area clear so I used the Kentrol shackle mount bracket. There is quite a bit of adjustability to align it to your bumper hi/low left/right etc

Of all the fairlead license plate mounts I've seen I like this one the best, but shipping is $26. That is 33% of the price of the mount. Bah.

Thanks fellas. Found exactly what I’m looking for. 20$ from RC. Says universal fit so I’m assuming it’ll line up perfectly with my Warn fairlead bolts.

I've torn my front plate off the bumper a few times rock crawling. I don't think that would work for me.

I run a Cascadia 4x4 Flipster on all my jeeps. Keeps the plate where you need it on the road and just flip it up off road if the winch is required.
