Front grill color on 2020 and 2021 JLU Rubicons?

I’m not sure if this would be better asked in the ordering section. When I build the rubicon on Jeep’s website it shows 2020 for the model. I chose the black clearcoat option and notice it ends up having gray inserts in the edges of the grill and headlight housing.

do they come standard with this gray?
I found several other pictures of rubicons in other colors (blue, red) and they have the same gray. It looks like what comes on the Sahara editions I see around.

correct. They do come apart pretty easily if you want to paint/plastidip yourself. Also, you could sell the Rubicon Grille and pop a Sport Grille on if you are going for all black (Blackout effect). No trim on Sport

You can also buy black inserts separately/ Here's my before and after. Before is stock Rubicon dark grey (kinda charcoal) inserts. Second pic is black inserts. Sorry, might be kinda hard to tell because of the glare...

Yep, much better pic then mine, and indeed that's what mine looks like in the shade. Maybe @Gregj can help you with the part numbers. I bought my inserts used from someone on this forum and I don't think actual part numbers were discussed...

Looks so much better. Also figured out that changing to the upgraded satin option does nothing to the inserts.

Like Rick said, they are easy to remove and paint. The Mopar Satin grill comes with black inserts or if you order replacements they come unpainted. My Jeep is a Sport but I bought a Rubicon grill from a member here who bought a Mopar grill, he kept the gray inserts and swapped the black ones in. I like the look, a lot.

Anything Rubicon will sell on “Member Marketplace”. Buy your new Rubicon, decide if you want to paint or swap inserts. If swap for black the grey (charcoal) ones will sell on forum to someone wanting to paint them or looking to swap out the bright silver on their Sahara

Do white Rubicons come with the Same charcoal grey grill trim or are they black? I’m wanting the charcoal

Unless someone knows otherwise, I’m pretty sure all Rubicons feature the charcoal grill inserts

The plastic front bumpers on the Rubicon also have that graphite accent.
