Just curious did you happen to use hinge foot pegs after you took the doors off? They were known to bend the hinges ever so slightly.
Nope, the doors were off only for a couple hours. I was also super gentile removing and putting back on as to not mess anything up.

Mine have been removed for a year. Makes taking three doors off much easier.

like others have suggested if i remember correctly the bolts are size specific to where they go. i had that happen on mine also, switched them around and they fit just fine. hope this helps.

I hear this.

99.99999% of all bolts have their threads on the outside
and as such are male.

But stick those threads inside of a channel inside that thing that looks like a bolt, (that's smooth on the outside) and it becomes a nut and perhaps considered gendered female.

Such is the case for the threading on the door hinge "thingies" and I guess why FCA calls them nuts.

What mirrors are you using? If you installed JPeggz it will crank them out of alignment. Don't know if the company fixed the issue yet....many times I had to re-adjust the hinges after putting the doors back on.

I've had 4 JKU's and am awaiting delivery on a JL. One of the first things I do is remove the door hinge nuts and put them on a shelf in the garage. Never put them back on. In real-world road tests I'v never had a door jump up and fly off.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the pedantry of the parallel discussion of nuts vs bolts in this thread.

These are Chicago screws (which go by several other names).

Cool, I learned something today! McMaster-Carr also calls them "binding barrels"

The door can't move up unless it's open.
