I have a 2018 JLU Rubicon 2.0. 35” KO2’s. Front brakes started locking up about 2 weeks ago. Happens when I first turn on the Jeep. Basically I’ll start driving and the Jeep only gets to 3rd gear (RPM’s go up) and brakes lock up.
Basically my Jeep thinks that it needs to brake and doesn’t let the transmission go into further gear. I have to pull over and pump the brakes and then it’s fine.
Went to Jeep Dealership and they drove it and couldn’t duplicate the problem. Came the next day and I drove it with the mechanic and we got it to duplicate. Brakes started to smoke. Dealership said they would change calipers and rotors. They then contacted Jeep and were told to “clean everything and lubricate”.
Drove the Jeep off the dealer and the next day did it again. Now they are blaming it on me having 35” tires and want me to pay for recalibrating the speedometer.
Has anyone experienced this?
