So, swapping out my JLUR for a JL Sport if things go well in the next week or so. I'm currently pulling the lift out, and I'm looking to what I'm going to do for a lift on the Sport. I'm eventually going to 1-tons, but I'm thinking of holding off a bit since I won't have $10k lying around after this trade.
What I have:
Falcon SP2.1 Monotube shocks for 4-door with 2-3.5" lift.
Rock Krawler 3.5" 4 door springs.
Maximus-3 Geometry brackets.
Metalcloack Rear Adjustable Control Arms.
Track Bar relocation brackets front and rear.
Steersmarts draglink, with top-mount (aka, drag link flip).
39" tires.
Hutchinson Rock Monster 5on5's.
My end goal is 60/70/80's. Leaning Dstrac 70's right now; supported by Metalcloak Gamechanger 3.5" with 6-pak shocks. Hydrosteer too. The 39's will carry me, and I'll drive stupid at that point.
So, I'm looking for help on ideas to do to let me enjoy the 2-door while I wait for the right time to go 1-ton. Hopefully over next "winter". I'm thinking the following:
1) Re-use front shocks. Buy some Fox2.0 or cheap Quadratec rears (good for a few months, yeah?).
2) Re-use geometry brackets. I like them. Also re-use Metalcloack rear adjustable control arms.
3) MOPAR lift springs front/rear. They seem cheap. I don't remember the breakdown, but I think I'm looking for 2dr steel bumper group fronts and basic rears to account for the winch.
4) Metalcloak trackbars. But maybe this is un-necessary with MOPAR springs? Or just a "when convenient" thing. Like a sale.
5) Steersmarts bottom-mount end to "fix" my draglink. I love my Michigan companies.
6) ARB front air locker. I'm pretty set on this to find out if I like air lockers. I've never had them. It will inform my 1-ton decision.
7) If I find some cheap 33/34" tires, put them on the Hutchinsons. I'm afraid to go 35's with heavy beadlocks and a locker on the M186. Then again, it only needs to last a year or so.
I'll regear if I upgrade tires. I can do it myself now, thanks to the forums here.
Appreciate your thoughts/experience!
