Noticed this the other day on my 2021. I have two spots that look like they didn't get painted on the frame. Its basically directly below the mirrors on the doors, one on each side. Anyone else have this? I'm wondering if this is a spot that gets missed in assembly due to the robot or hoist that grabs the frame after painting or something like that.

What would you do to get rid of the rust and then coat? Grinder then rattle can?

No grinder, sand then Rustoleum. Get a small can and a cheap brush, then just brush it. No need for a whole rattle can and all of the overspray it causes.

Just a thought, but if it’s under warranty couldn’t you take it to the dealer and have them fix it? I know it’s an easy fix, but that way its documented if any other areas crop up. Again, just a thought.

Thought about it, I just dont really trust dealers. On the flip side I'd hate to have some issue down the road denied because it looks like the frame was "modified".

You can use POR-15. No need to sand just paint over. Great stuff.
