Purchased Mopar springs, bump stops and sway bar links separately and now looking for shocks. One of the complaints about the Mopar Lift is shorter shocks limit articulation. Sooo my question is can I use Fox Shocks that are for 3.5"- 4" lift instead of the 2"-3" lift...

The 2-3" lift measures at Front 16.7" - 26.25" Rear 18.5" - 29.5"

The 3.5-4" lift measures at Front 17.8" - 28.4" Rear 18.9" - 30.50"

Two(2) Door Rubicon not a lot of weight any suggestions would be Greatly Appreciated!

You would need to check the collapsed height with your Jeep.

With the collapsed height being one inch taller in the front, will the shocks bottom out before your bumpstops do?

So collapsed height would equal shock length (bolt to bolt) minus distance of bump stop to axle?... After new springs are installed?

Once new springs are installed:
Measure distance between bumpstop mounting face and bumpstop pad (include the bumpstop extension).
**Figure that the OE bumpstop will compress 80% or more on a hard hit**

Measure between shock mounting points.
Subtract from collapsed length

Compare against the bumpstop measurement.

If the shock will bottom out before the bumpstop mounting face hits the bumpstop pad, then the shock is too long.
If the shock can still compress more after the bumpstop mounting face hits the bumpstop pad, then the shock would be fine.

@Northridge4x4

What, if any, Fox or King shocks do you recommend for OEM replacement on a non lifted Unlimited Rubicon? I figure that one of those two brands would offer better ride and handling than the standard red shocks on my Rubi. I’ll be one of the few, if not only, person keeping my Jeep stock.
Thanks in advance.

I'm in the same boat @Man-of-methods . I am not planning on lifting my JLUR either. Might go to 35's once the stock KO2s wearout but that's about it. Personally I'd lean more towards Fox but that's only because I haven't heard much about King.

Watching for reply with bated breath :lipssealed:
