Issue: Fox Shocks 3.0, one shock is leaking.
Fox says this is not a common occurrence, so Im thinking it was built with a defect.
Fox response: its out of the 1 year warranty so oh well... finally Fox said send us the shock, we will rebuild it and send it back. Time frame is minimum of a month for the rebuild during which the vehicle would be taking up space in the shop. Fox is very busy right now.
My opinion is that it was defective from the get go and a replacement should be sent since this leaking "never happens" with their shocks.

So jeep forum, have you ever dealt with a leaking shock? Cuz now im just curious. And obvs Im not happy with fox's customer service... actually i think its really crappy.... but the 1yr warranty has passed so.... it is what it is.

Off to shop for new shocks now.....
Suggestions are welcomed.
A leaking shock is a BAD shock! They should send you a new one then you send the defective one back (or get charged). For the price of the Fox shocks you'd expect decent customer service but apparently not!

It's out of warranty. Price has no bearing on return-ability.

Took my 21 JLUR to dealer yesterday for leaking rear stock shocks at 12700 miles. Both rears have oil film running down the front of the shock. They ordered new ones under warranty and said they are back ordered and no idea when they will be in. Dealer offered to install 4 take off Fox shocks, not sure which ones. I declined since I don't plan to put lift or bigger tires on.

What did you end up doing? Those shocks are super expensive, I'd just get it fixed. What's $150 to fix a $700 shock?
Ordered new shocks. Im just not the rebuilt type i guess. Atleast they will be under warranty...

Jenne. Ask earlier, did you have the adjustable 3.0s already that started leaking or the stock Fox that came on 392s?
