I'd love to grab a set of Ruby wheel/tire takeoffs, but an all-day drive and a $1500 price tag ain't in this retiree's budget.
I'm with you, Mr. Natural! ;)

Just my opinion, but I don't see any after market top as nice as the premium soft top selling new for 1500. I've seen other jk tops and they were not near as easy and nice as the premium soft top.
Bestop will soon, hopefully, start releasing their various tops for the JL. They are the OEM builder for the current top, so fit, finish, quality will be spot on.

Here is the top I’m waiting for. It’s the trektop NX glide. I had the normal Trektop for my JKU and loved it. With the glide option you’ll be able to stow it in the rear like the OEM top, so that’s a huge advantage.
Sells for $1450, so the JL version should come in close.

OP your pricing is off, soft top, upgrade wheels are all prices in addition to the stock items already figured in the overall price. Example, an Unlimited comes with a sort top standard, that price is built into the MSRP. To ADD a premium soft top is another $595. A premium soft top does not cost $595, it is $595 over and above whatever the original cost of the regular soft top is. Price out a Premium soft top, if you can get one, they are almost $2500.

My opinion is whatever anyone is willing to pay is what it is worth at the moment, depending on market conditions. You think it's gouging? Everyone has the right to ask whatever price they want to, fair doesn't enter into the equation. If you disagree, don't buy it and move on, I'm no socialist.

5 new 33" KO2's costs about 1250 for tires alone. Getting the wheels and tires for only slightly more is a good price, and if you don't want to pay it you don't have to. Supply is low right ow and demand is high. Prices will drop.

Where can you get 5 35's for even 1500? Let alone with wheels?
Pick an online vendor. Any online vendor.

I shop at discounttiredirect.com and they had the Milestar Patagonia that Lite Brite on YouTube runs for $195 per tire last week. I should have bought a set of those instead of my BFGs. The KO2s were $220 a tire. Ouch.

But if you shop around, you can get some very nice combinations for cheap. And, even if you pick a combo that's $100 or $200 bucks more than Rubicon take-offs...you're getting better stuff! Wider wheels, better offset, taller tires, better all around.

I've got $1,500 invested in my set and I love the 34" BFGs but I really wish I had gone with the 35s which were actually less expensive. Doh!

I think it’s entertaining how people “guess” what a Mopar TPMS sensor cost, $75-$100 depending where you get it, 5 BFG KO2`S 2
Roughly $220. a tire, shipping $22 per tire mount and Road force balance $15-$20 a tire
And the Rubicon standard rim $320 is the cheapest I have found them.
$500 sensors
$1100 tires
$200 shipping and balance
$1600 for Rubicon rims
That’s roughly $3400 give or take, at $1500 for brand new or less then 50 miles on the set isn’t such a bad deal

Check around and see what each is worth and add it up. Low price and high price.
I sold my set of five to a forum member and both of us were pleased with the agreement
Actually he was even happier when we mounted them on his Jeep
