I stumbled across this you tube video last night, I actually liked the little focus RS. It's rare to to see a US manufacturer make a hot hatchback with decent power. Anyway, if you think the Jl has some growing pains, watch this video...

I think Ford somehow used the 2.3 ecoboost head gasket from the Mustang. But, change your post to Focus, you wrote Fiesta...l

I have (family driven) 3 older Focuses and was looking at getting an ST or RS until I read about the engine, transmission and infotainment issues. Then I saw the favorable reviews of the new JL and decided it was a better choice, the most fun you can have driving slow.

I think the Pentastar is also an open deck design. Are they not able to design an engine in such a way that the cooling circuits do not cross through the head gasket?
