People have to realize the 3.6 is not a truck engine. If you are accelerating, keep it above 2k and don't be afraid of driving it at 3k. It took me a while to realize aiming for low revs and low end torque is a mistake. Let it rev, enjoy the nice HP. Above 3k the acceleration is really nice.

Yep, you are right! And at about 4200 rpm it feels and sounds like the second stage on the valve train jumps in and gives it a real kick in the pants and pulls hard all the way to red line.
