You guys with PPF …do you avoid drive through car washes?
No. Shouldn't hurt it. I hand wash though typically.

I use the brushless automatics (on my trucks and Jeeps). Have for years. No issues at all. I know some say not to, but around here in the winter ya gotta get the road crap (mag chloride) off and the automatics dry also so it works well.

Not awful, was that using pre cut templates(assume it is). I think more like 10-11k to do wrapped edges.
The quote was not for pre-cut templates. The installer said that those templates typically did not provide full coverage at the edges. 2-3 weeks for installation. Said that he'd cut around any emblems, But he also seemed less than enthusiastic about the project. Kept saying that it would be a huge project, and not easy to do. I'll get more quotes, and hope to find someone that I feel right about assigning the task to.

$7500 is too low for not using pre-cut templates. IMO. Maybe that's part of his reason for not being enthusiastic. Not sure.

As you suggested, buy the installer.

Mine were removed when the wrap was done and reinstalled. Entire vehicle wrapped was $5500.
I had my C8 completely wrapped also so I got a "combo" deal :like: . "Disclaimer" I have had a great deal of work done so I get a pretty good deal.

did they cover your decals? I have a red 392 with the upper-body graphic on order, and planned on wrapping most of it. I was thinking they’d cut around/ use two pieces to accommodate the graphic.

They covered the decals. I asked them to. I wanted everything covered.

I’m picking mine up Monday. PPF and Ceramic. I did half of the hood (from 392 emblems forward), grille, headlights, a pillars, door hinges, fenders, lower section of doors below hinges..I was quoted $3,500, but I’m guessing it’s going to be at least $500 more, due to me requesting more than initially was agreed on.

I had XPEL installed all over by Nick @ Oakes Detail, had the “Rubicon” on the hood wrapped over while all the other emblems replaced. Nick did a great job of leaving the hood perfectly untouched and protected. Here’s a pic..

Looks great. I put ppf and windshield protection film onto mine at the same time, so I could put the ceramic coating over both of them. I did the diy grab gard windshield kit before I brought it into the shop for the stek.

You'll love the ceramic coating, it makes dirt come off so much easier.

I got a quote yesterday for $7500 to do the entire vehicle. I learned that Suntek has a built in ceramic coating that's supposed to be superior to anything applied afterwards.
If you're in San Jose, try Breone at GO Wraps. He does great work. I had my entire Viper ACR-E wrapped and ceramic coated there. Took a few days, but was worth it.

As far as the emblems go, the wrap won't pull them off as far as I know. Lots of Viper drivers have had the wrap put on and taken off due to heat bubbling, and the emblems were fine.
