Everyone I've talked to said 37s on the JL are fine I've drove three and they're seemed to be no problems. It had a lot of get up and go

I just went to 37x13.50’s on my Sahara. Get up and go is not bad, def not like stock. Freeway is 6th and 7th only. I have yet to see 8th gear.

do you have a photo with a 13.50 that's what I want to do over 12: 50 but some people said it's too wide and it will walk on you and its a rough ride because it's E Tire over a D how do you like the ride and how is it going down the highway is it stiff hard ride and does it try to walk on you ? Because that's the way I want to go 13.50 s but I have concerns

Ride is fine, it is not my daily, more like a toy. Running tire pressure right now at 35 psi. As far as walking I actually think it is better than it was stock.

After putting 1500 miles on the 4:10 gears of my rubicon I saw that my 8 speed was primarily a 6 speed. Taking off was fine but I hardly ever saw 7th and 8th gears unless I was going down hill. I calculated 4:56 would give me a little less power to the back wheels and 4:88 would give me a little more power to the back wheels than the 4:10 gears and the stock 33" tires. Being that I'm pushing more weight and more rolling resistance I opted for the 4:88 gears. I'm happy with the outcome. I see all 8 speeds now but it doesn't take much to drop to 7th gear. If I would have gone with 4:56 gears, I would not be happy with the outcome. MPG is a little better but not a ton. I'm very happy with the performance again with the 37x12.50R17 Cooper SST PROs I installed on KMC beadlock rg wheels.
Did you have any issues reprogramming for 4.88?

I had my dealer reprogram my speedometer for the larger tires but nothing was needed for the gear change. The transmission did breath a sigh of relief. lol

Has anyone done 37s with the manual transmission? If so, do you ever get to put in in 6th with 4.10s?

Rubicon w/ 37" MXT

I only use 6th if I'm doing 80MPH (almost never). Otherwise the dash claims to get better mpg in 5th.

I'm considering regearing.

Thank you for the reply. My jku, with 35s and 3.73, I never touched 6th gear. Didn’t have enough power to handle it. I traded it in for the jl, didn’t want the same problem. I will regear but it’s not first on my to do list.
