You should get some JKS quick disconnect sway bar end links while you’re at it. All you do is pull a pin. Takes seconds to disco.....:)......Also like how you laid out your parts there to look like a Jeep grille.......
I’ll have to check that out. Would def be a good solution for the time being!

Actually as crazy as it sounds for me because I love working on vehicles, since it’s been at the dealership since Dec 17th and will continue to sit there until the warranty work is done (they ordered a part and it’s on back order with no ETA) I’m just having them throw it on for about $200 bucks.

My whole plan was to have the Jeep in possession and install myself along with a few friends and just make a day of it but plans change I guess..

It sucks for me as it’ll be the first thing I haven’t done myself on this Rig or any other vehicle in my life lol so it’s kind of a bummer, but, the uptick is that it’ll all be covered under warranty, it’s being done for cheap IMO and when I go to pick it up it’ll be done (which won’t be until mid-late January from what they are telling me right now). So I’m trying to focus on the positives.

They are doing it for so cheap because I kind of have them by the nuts right now being I’m making payments on a vehicle I haven’t had for awhile and won’t have for awhile so it worked out I guess.

I ran mine through a car wash and got about 75% of it off. I’m having it detailed hopefully this weekend, including pressure-washing the undercarriage and engine compartment. My engine has a significant amount of dried mud on it - but not a speck in the air intake! LOL! In my “old age” I would rather pay a young ‘un to do it ;)
I took mine through a car wash too but it was UNSAT, Good thing i brought my own pit crew along and they did another wash and detail for me back at the house. It was an awesome experience for my son in law and Grandsons. we are looking forward to another trail ride with all of you.

Anybody else just Flat tired?
Our party just continued till last night. Entertaining grandsons with tractor rides, target shooting, teaching fire building techniques, Tight rope walking, Fireworks, and a whole lot of other activities. They kept me moving non stop since the trail ride. Finally got to go back to work for some rest. You Guys and Gals were a great group of folk and showed us a great time. When is the next ride?

I’m thinking of building a budget Co2 system for airing up. The PowerTank setups are nice but I just can’t justify their $390 to $600+ price tags in my mind.

I’ve pieced together a budget setup using only Amazon and it looks like it’ll be $224 bucks total out the door.
  • New 10Lb Co2 bottle w/CGA320 Valve - $79.00
  • Digital Tire Inflator (200psi) - $39.90
  • Co2 Carry Handle - $12.37
  • High Pressure 1/4”x25’ Recoil Hose (200psi) - $10.49
  • Co2 High Flow Regulator w/out gauge - $49.98
  • 1/4” 45 Degree Brass Fitting - $9.56
  • 1/4” Double Male Brass Fitting - $4.84
  • 1/4” 6-Ball Brass Coupler - $3.31
  • Co2 Gauge - $14.99
TOTAL: $224.44

Am I missing anything? I’ve seen tank setups for $280+ but most of those low end deals like SmittyBilt and Poly Performance use Chinese fittings and bit parts..

I found a SmittyBilt system online for $289.99. Maybe I try that bottle out and if it doesn’t work out just build my own..??

What do you guys think? Too much thought?

yeah that looks pretty good That's pretty much about the same setup I have on my air tank honestly though I'm thinking about going to a 5-pound tank because it weighs less and it's smaller, also you may want to check your tire inflator Make sure of how accurate it is cuz some of them go to like a quarter of a pound or 2 lb difference or a 3 lb difference

Did you DIY yours? That SmittyBilt system for $289.99 ready to go minus a fill up out of the box is tempting but I know they aren’t using quality fittings and such..
