Just did raptor liner liner yesterday. Took a day to strip it, tape it, and spray it.

I'm thinking of this but I have to do it outdoors, with no garage or cover. Did you do it outside? How long between coats and to removed the tape?

Rhino lining sucks though. Line-x is way better. But then again I speak from experience with it on truck beds. I guess for jeep interiors it would last.

You maybe right for truck beds, rhino seems more rubbery than line-x. I had my 07 jk done in rhino and never had a problem but wasnt throwing heavy sharp things in the jeep. Line-x wouldn't even give me a price on the jk so I went with the guy who did my jk and knew his work.

I had Line-X in a JK for a very short time. It seemed bullet proof but is was hard and rough on bare feet. I went to a Rhino Liner dealer, where I was shown a lined TJ. It was peeling up around where the door sill drops into the tub's floor. It was very pliable and rubbery. The guy told me was peeling up because it was worn and cut from constant pressure from feet stepping on it. It felt great, but I'm not sure I trust it's longevity on a new jeep. Or, I'm thinking it was poor surface preparation and/or poor installation.

This. I have a ‘85 CJ with Rhino on the floors for over 20 years with no floor mats and it still looks new. If the surface is prepped correctly and maintained properly, both Rhino and Line-X will hold up forever.

I guess i'll be the first. After 8 miles on the jeep and 3 rock chips!!!! I decided to rhino line the inside and jams. The carpet was designed to come out. It has snap out pieces. All carpet came out in about 10 minutes. My game plan is after it is rhino lined put the carpet back in for the time being. You can raise the snaps (they screw in) to off set the rhino thinness. Here is what the inside looks like with the carpet removed. I think the sound deadening looks better than my JK. If you zoom in you can see the snaps.

I did mine outside on a dry 85 degree day. I waited 45 mins or so between coats and pulled the tape as soon as I was finished spraying.

No. The carpet has pre-cuts around the seat bolts. I took my carpet out last week in preparation of today's Rhino Lining appointment. Most are are very hard to see. I had to read the manual to find out the carpet had cut outs before I started pulling on it with all my might to rip it. Pics from 2-door front and rear (drivers side) are show to help you find the precuts.

With the way the carpet is cut and how its easy to get out, you'd think someone would create a MOD for this. A vinyl drop in of some sorts, kind of like a truck bed liner. I have a lab and the dog hair in this carpet is a pain in the butt. I'm interested to see how this turns out. Pretty simple to get out?
We haul 2 German Shepherds and a Sheltie. Try using a horse brush to get the hair out. :) Worked for us.

Hey! great looking interior. Did you remove the center consul? I dropped my JLUR to have line-X sprayed in interior and was informed that the wire under seat that runs across Jeep (under front 2 seats) did not have enough slack to stretched to have line-x under. It will be covered by seat. Did you have similar experience with this? Also, my tailgate is not being done - why did you decide to line-x the tailgate? What benefit do you see with this?

Bed lining the floor just looks so much nicer than leaving it painted. Besides the paint in the JKs was not good and had lots of bare patches with only primer. I took advantage and painted the roll cage at the same time. The JK roll cage wasn’t painted underneath the padding. I hated the padding because it was a dust sponge, but the green primer look horrible. I was very glad to paint it.

How did you disconnect the wire that ran under center consul?

This was a JKUR, but I don't remember. This was back in 2011. I don't remember what I had for breakfast.
