Just ordered potting compound, hopefully, the bomb will not go off before I am ready. But this situation is beyond ridiculous the way CFA - Jeep handles it. Customer satisfaction = 0, you are domed if you deal with it, doomed if you not...

Oh yes... I've tried to go through every avenue possible to buy this from TE Connectivity. You cannot buy this.
Do you have the part number, I do not see it on the PDF. I live in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and I see TE Automotive is right here in my backyard. I want to see what I can do.

I never bothered with it. Once I installed the Z Locker harness I haven’t had any issues. Used the lockers several times as well. Zero issues.
I too went the Z Automotive replacement pigtail route and have had zero issues since.

interesting thread.

amazing level of sourcing and hardware hacking. thank you.

my rear senseless sensor died climbing mesauite, nv to st. george utah, in july,
in 118 degree weather, pulling a damned tent trailer. been running on a Z
module since then. bought two of them, in case one died. second one is under
the drivers seat in a z box. it works ok, but it'd be nice to put the real deal in.

also, some of you are reporting limited functionality. let me assure you if you
get this puppy good and hot, it goes right to fail mode. you will not be able to
engage EITHER locker. it'll be an open diffs weekend.

this is one reason for general sadness with jeep in general. there are others,
but they all stem back to FCA being in the mix. i personally feel FCA sucks.
did i mention the fuel pump went out at 10,000 feet at cedar breaks the same day?

it did. 4 days for jeep to send a replacement part. they sent the wrong one, twice.
vacation over. let me re evaluate that FCA sucks assessment. fuck FCA. that is better.

i'm seeing if i can source thru one of TE's distributors, or how many i need
to buy to get OEM access, and what the cost is. if i get lucky, i'll keep a few for
me, and sell the rest off here.

let's hope they don't want a minimum order of 3,500 or something.

I offered to buy 100 and was told no.

You're not going to get access to it even if you offered to buy 5000.

Being lazy, don't want to re-read entire thread. Was it possible to manually actuate these lockers using one of the aux switches or a switch of my own?

I'd really like independent control of the front locker. Too often the locked rear causes bad understeer and it be nice to reduce that a bit

yes. You can get a harness that plugs in and just uses the 2 outside wires and run to whatever switch you want.

Looks right. The middle wires are just for the sensor. You could likely just cut those and then use your existing outside two with your own wire to a switch.
Awesome. I'm going to assume 12v locks it and open circuit unlocks. Polarity sensitive?
