When I flipped the rear seat in my 2dr from folded position to upright, there was a bungee that I didn’t see. Now the seat will not flip back up. The bungee is really stuck - there’s no pulling it out.

Ideas?

Cut bungie? Or take seat out to try from other angles
I did cut it, but no use. It’s a thin, flat elastic.

I can’t take the seat out and that is the problem. I can flip the back up and it functions as a seat, but if I try to fold it forward (step 1 for removing it) it’s no good. The latch that holds it to the floor is the one that has a bungee stuck in it.

Brute force for the win! Grabbed with vice grips and put my weight into it. It ripped apart. Phew!

I have the same situation, but mines is the floor liner piece that stuck in the rear seats latch section and I can’t reach them. (not sure if I describe it correctly) Is there other way I can remove the seat in this case?

Thanks. I did pull the floor liner out, but some of piece still inside the latch, I can’t reach them, that’s why I am asking… Is it possible we unlatch the front latches? (the two that can remove the whole seat)

That I'm not sure of. Do you have a long pair of needle nose pliers? You might be able to reach in and grab the pieces and pull enough out so you can work with the seat.

Might try a pry bar under the seat with the latch opened as much as possible. Yet another reason for a 2dr without the rear seat😏
