For those wondering if you can fit five 35” or 315/70/17 tires inside a two door, it can be done with room to spare; however, it’s not much.

I have 3 tires stacked on their side behind the driver, the passenger seat folded all the way forward with one tire pressing on the back, and one tire jammed in directly behind it. The last tire in is not touching the factory soft top and this could be done with the side windows in, but not the back.

Hope these pictures give others confidence to pick up those takeoffs you got a deal on!

Nicely done!
Great info. I was wondering if I would need my trailer.

I've found, when picking up Jeep parts, anything will fit if you're determined. :fingerscrossed:

Why not rent a trailer, you have a tow hitch.
I looked at that, but Uhaul won’t rent to you if you have a soft top, and renting a trailer costs money that would eat into some of the benefit of buying used tires.

I already had the soft top windows and back seat out, so really all I really did was fold the front passenger seat forward and cram the tires in. Much easier than dealing with a trailer rental and I save money.
