Whose front light and inner fenders are running
Metal Cloak inner fenders, old Baja Designs Fuego HIDs (red ring - spot pattern), and Rigid LED bar (flood pattern). I now also have Diode Dynamic fogs in the bumper...didn't when that picture was taken. I like the color of the light of those HIDs. I have been running them since 2009. Pulled this pair off my Ram stripped them all down repainted them and put them on the JL. Also running the MC fender brace and light kit.

When you split the fenders as you say, do you pick up tire clearance, I know it visually looks like it.
About 3.5" of added clearance from splitting the front fenders and 2-2.5" in the rear.

We have a 2018 JLUR with a 1.5ā€ spacer lift from Teraflex, stock wheels, and 37s. This is likely close to the suspension height of your XR and the XR wheels have less backspacing. So you should have less issues to begin with than I did.

Hereā€™s what I had to do to correct clearance issues:

1.) Added 2ā€ bump stops.
2.) Removed the square ā€œbulgeā€ of the rear fender liner (the one that meets the rear bumper).
3.) Backed out the steering stops half of a turn to keep the front tires off of the lower control arms. You likely wonā€™t have to do this with the backspacing of the XR wheels.

No other issues after correcting these items and we wheel ours pretty hard. I agree with the earlier comment: throw some 37s on there. Iā€™m thinking the rear plastic liner might be the only issue youā€™ll have. Good luck.

Do you have pics of the side when parked level?

Based on what you're experiencing, it seems that 37s should fit the XR without much of an issue. The XR comes with pretty large bump stops from the factory. Looks like on the 'large' 37s that @Jeepeto put, it would have likely cleared flexing as well.

This is an ā€˜18 JLUR with Teraflex 1.5ā€ spacer lift (2ā€ front spacer, 1.5ā€ rear). No wheel spacers. Falken Wildpeak AT3W 37x12.5r17

Are you talking about doing this. I have split the fenders on my JLUR and changed to an aftermarket inner fender. Just know this is not cheap to do. The Inner fenders and American Adventure Lab lights are about $1000 total to do this. In comparison, the Rancho Lift is about $750.

The Paramount plastic liners will help drop the price some. I have those and the AAL hardware sitting here but still waiting on my Quake slim line fender chop kit. I think I'm around 800 in it. Would have been a bit cheaper without the hardware kit but I don't like the look of the stock clips.
