Has anyone installed Fishbone Step Sliders? How did it go?
Sponsored
I am getting mine on this Wednesday. Will be running a few winter trails/backroads next week.Outrider1
The sliders seem to be what I have been looking for.
Frame mounted.
Only one hole to drill on frame (optional).
A wide step.
Minimal and functional.
Within budget.
Just waiting for some feedback before I pull the trigger.
There must be someone out there that have these on...
On 4WP, one reviewer showed he mounted his with thicker washers and kept the stock Rubicon rock rail intact. Have you tried that?I had my local shop install them. I didn’t want to be crawling around under the Hulk in the cold and snow. The install was really straightforward and easy. Took just over an hour.
If I have a complaint, it is that the pinch weld is exposed. The rails are slightly shorter than the stock plastic steprails (which took a lot more abuse than I thought they would) but nice and wide and steady. You’ll bounce off the rails when sliding before you’ll hit a door or frame member.
I have not, but I'm going to go check out the link.On 4WP, one reviewer showed he mounted his with thicker washers and kept the stock Rubicon rock rail intact. Have you tried that?
