.... I’ve heard some talk about protective film to cover fenders to avoid rock chips...
Seriously.....? What the heck are you going to do the first time you bounce it off a rock or stump?

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
Well I am at $6458 dollars before the JLUR even came home. Should be picking up th JLUR up today or friday. Should order the media screen.... I think the amazon Jeep list still has a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff that I have not ordered yet.....yet.

I pick my Rubi up next Wednesday. My short list is Mopar all weather mats, Weather tech or Husky cargo mat, rear cup holder, and shorty antenna. Probably should get the 8.4 screen protectors. I did just order a Gibson key fob holder (black/red stitch clipless). More to come for Xmas I hope.

I just picked mine on Sunday and I’ve ordered a Magnaflow rock crawler exhaust, GPCA grab handles, shorty antenna with rugged ridge base, thinking about getting a steering stabilizer to reduce the sway on the highway.

I can't take credit for it... it was way too good of an idea for a caveman like me. I found it somewhere here in the forums, and the [Banned Site] guy posted a video on it.

Is it staying tucked in alright after driving & washing?
Yes... Nothing's come loose. The size I used stays tucked in pretty securely, but every now & then I'll inspect and give each a little tuck-in with the flat plastic panel/trim-remover thingy. I've yet to see how it behaves in the NC heat (cracking, etc.), but I keep extra tubing just in case. We'll see in a few months.

Im heading to pick up my Rubi this week. We have all been there in the past year or so. What is the priority list of things to do to/for your Jeep? Not wheels, tires, lift, tint, etc.... I’ve heard some talk about protective film to cover fenders to avoid rock chips. Purchase certain tools that you will definitely need? What did you do to yours or wish you would have to yours before all the “big stuff” starts?

Thought this might be a helpful thread to so many of us just now getting ours delivered. TYIA
My early “mods” where all done early and on the cheap
Removed carpet
Removed rear seat and put it in permenant storage in basement
Weather tech floor liners
Replaced lug nuts with black gorilla locking nuts
Removed all stickers (includes “rubicon” on hood and “wrangler” on front quarter panels)
Relocated third break light
Removed visor stickers
Hinge protection film

After a few quick additions and small projects I think I’ll head to Harbor Freight and look, for some tools. Need a good set that are made for the Jeep. Any suggestions?
