Nope. Doors still removed via old torx bolt / hinge pin system.

Although they did improve the wire loom disconnect. And add a door stop/check.

Does not look like they are for the windshield either... just 4 bolts to release that as well, beginning to look like they are just bolt covers for the plastic interior panels.

Is it me or do those hinge pin bolts look brutally tucked into the body to remove? Are we supposed to also disconnect the door limiter from the door and leave the arm and bracket that mounts to the door essentially hanging out there? Wouldn't it seem to make more sense to have that stay with door and disconnect from the body?

The hinge pins have a bit more space than currently IMO. And undoing them with the door open makes it easier too.

The door checks do stay with the door see this thread where I first postulated about them, there’s a pic with them still attached to the door (yellow arrow);

I looked at that door check photo again from the manual. Clearly the body hinge is below the bolt to remove the check rod.

I'm going mad. Thanks for the answer.

The hinge is still on the shell, so nothing harder than the JKs process to remove the hinge pin bolt. Again, that picture from the inside looking out of the door hinge fooled me.
