Here is my 4cyl Rubi on 35s with a 392 suspension takeoff (bottom) for comparison. I call it The cheap XR package.

Now that’s more like it 👍🏻

They are spaced out so that the blind spot monitor still works as intended.
Very interesting 🤔. It does look like trim spacer around light is same width as new flare add on. :)

I know you get more lift with it. I just didn't think it was that much. I know the Extreme Recon package doesn't seem much more lifted then the standard Rubicon but I'm finding out it's a different set up then the 2 inch Mopar lift.

Too many different things Jeep has going on right now. Lol. My apologies.

So would the Mopar 2 inch lift be good for 37s on a Rubicon?
I had the Mopar 2” lift installed on my 21 Rubicon. I gained 2.5” on all 4 corners so unlike after market lifts it’s not leveled. I can run 37’s on
Jeep Wrangler JL First Extreme Recon Edition Package Jeep JL Rubicon I’ve seen! - Added suspension + more pics 6A50F7FE-3FA0-461D-B488-7B7230C4F888
it fine. I do get a little rubbing when wheeling. I run 2” of bump stop up front ant 3” rear.

Are the bumps the same ones as the upgraded bump stops in the Gladiator Mojave that are similar to an air bump or hydraulic bump stop?

Questioned whether I should have ordered the XR package, now I'm glad I didn't. It's an afterthought, not an engineered design.

Never mind these are the Mojave ones.

Sounds like it went something like this:
  • Jeep brand manager: "Did you guys hear that Bronco will offer 35s from the factory?"
  • Wrangler product planner: "Is Bronco really coming out? I thought it was a joke!"
  • Jeep brand manager: "Apparently it is. My 12 year old‘s friend’s step-father has one on order
  • Bean counter: "We don't have any money budgeted to offer 35s until JM comes out
  • Jeep brand manager: "I want a proposal on my desk by Monday morning outlining how we are going to offer 35s from the factory before EO year. Have a good weekend everyone!"

  • Mopar lift: $2,000, installed
  • Five new wheels and 35-inch tires $3,000, minus $1,000 for your takeoff wheels and tires = $2,000
  • Re-gearing: $1,000
  • Fender flash: priceless!
Total ~ $5,000

Factory cost for XR = $4,000, minus any discount you might get off MSRP

Pros of XR:
  1. Less total cost
  2. Covered by warranty
  3. Counts towards resale
Pros of DIY:
  1. You get to choose any lift you want
  2. Looks like you get more lift from a Mopar lift than from that XR lift
  3. You get to choose any wheel and tire combination you want
  4. If you already own a Rubicon, chances are it will be cheaper to upgrade than to trade it in
Add ~$500-700 for tailgate reinforcement and spare tire kit.
