The flare extenders aren’t bad from far away but once u get up on em’. My god. Just rip them off. You really don’t even need them. 99 percent of the Jeeps see daily with aftermarket tires stick out way more.

Yes and what’s up with those taillights? They have to put extensions on those too?

2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon XR
  • Mopar lift: $2,000, installed
  • Five new wheels and 35-inch tires $3,000, minus $1,000 for your takeoff wheels and tires = $2,000
  • Re-gearing: $1,000
  • Fender flash: priceless!
Total ~ $5,000

Factory cost for XR = $4,000, minus any discount you might get off MSRP

Pros of XR:
  1. Less total cost
  2. Covered by warranty
  3. Counts towards resale
Pros of DIY:
  1. You get to choose any lift you want
  2. Looks like you get more lift from a Mopar lift than from that XR lift
  3. You get to choose any wheel and tire combination you want
  4. If you already own a Rubicon, chances are it will be cheaper to upgrade than to trade it in
Add upgraded brakes plus heavy d44 front end withsteel knuckles to the list.

Those bumps do look extended. Links are longer, def a small lift. I wonder if shocks are the same and have the same travel.

This would be a bit of a disappointment. Still a great package imo. Might need to replace bump stops and get longer travel shocks to take advantage of the small lift?

Was your order accepted? Two dealers now have told me that an order with both the 392 & the XR package are currently blocked.
I have a VON and VIN, we will see what happens if it doesn’t come to fruition I’ll order a 2022. I have a 2019 Ram Limited so I’m in no rush. I love my truck, but miss my Jeep and wouldn’t mind something smaller.

Here is my 4cyl Rubi on 35s with a 392 suspension takeoff (bottom) for comparison. I call it The cheap XR package.

2.75” total but before the lift, I lost 3/4” with the bumper and winch. So 2” net.

“Oh its not flashy enough, can’t tell where the $4k went”

“hopefully in 2023 it’ll look more BADASS”

“there aren’t any EXTREME stickers!”

You fuckin’ idiots. We’re supposed to be better than this... the whole point of this package is that it makes the jeep function better. It may have a stupid, Monster energy drink inspired name, but it’s all about making the jeep function better off road. Better tires, better gears, slight lift. It’s not about fucking decals. Well done jeep, you put in effort where it matters. Too bad some of your fanbase are too focused on stupid cosmetic shit.
Maybe an X-TREME IN-XS package:decals, badges, stripes, plastic wings&body effects cladding, and phony V8 sounds on non 392 models through the audio system? It appears there’s a market.

With the VIN you should be good. Maybe the hold on the XR was after yours got in the system. I'm going to wait 'till the 22's can be ordered.

Dude. He installed a Mopar lift on his Jeep and measured it and youre telling him he is incorrect? lol... to get "on par" with the Rubicon all you need is to buy a takeoff rubicon suspension (springs and shocks) for $150.

the mopar lift can lift both a sport AND a Rubicon and it is designed for greater articulation and being able to fit 35s comfortably. Some people rub with 35s on their rubis at max articulation, it is tight.
I know you get more lift with it. I just didn't think it was that much. I know the Extreme Recon package doesn't seem much more lifted then the standard Rubicon but I'm finding out it's a different set up then the 2 inch Mopar lift.

Too many different things Jeep has going on right now. Lol. My apologies.

So would the Mopar 2 inch lift be good for 37s on a Rubicon?
