Bought my new Sahara Saturday. Today was the first day driving it.

Parked it when I got home from work and smelled coolant. Came out later and my driveway was covered in coolant. So she is getting towed back to the dealer in the morning. One day driving. I'm beyond furious.

Got it to the dealer this morning. What a fiasco.

Turned out to be a radiator fitting, either stripped during install or damaged. Dealer is ordering a new radiator. Should have it tomorrow. Fingers crossed

Well that sucks! I would definitely be annoyed. Hopefully they gave you a loner. At least it's not a blown head gasket. lol

"At least it's not.." is pretty much the catchphrase of JL's, it's starting to seem

Yeah got a sweet base model Compass as a loaner. I haven't heard anything from dealer yet. I want my jeep back dammit

Does it still smell like coolant?

From my experience after a leak like that coolant lands in places they can never wash out and just burns off over time leaving you with months of that burnt cotton candy smell. ;)

It rained like a MF last night and this morning, so hopefully it cleaned most of it up.

Man I dunno if I would've taken it back. Already had to swap a radiator and some hoses not having it for a day. They'd be giving me a new jeep for sure

I wonder if you have a few days to change your mind on a vehicle purchase, like buyers remorse?

No, you don’t.

You do your due diligence and then after the sale closes you are left with what you bought, period, unless you can prove lemon status or the dealer or manufacturer are willing to do something out of good will.
