Nice looking Jeep. Never heard of Fishbone Offroad Fenders before. They look good and the installation is simpler than some I have seen.Tube fenders, liners, and Core 4x4 tier 4 control arms and trackbars installed... Rustys steering kit next.
I used color code Firecracker Red from Automotive Touchups. I taped off the tube edges, sanded smooth, primed, painted, and clearcoated.Nice looking Jeep. Never heard of Fishbone Offroad Fenders before. They look good and the installation is simpler than some I have seen.
Which paint did you use on them? How visible are the turn signals.? This type always look small to me.
The Automotive Touchup site has clearcoat, and I just used Krylon primer (light grey) from the auto parts store. I figured the light grey would allow the red to cover better. The fenders only needed one nutsert and the rest used the stock mounting points with nuts and bolts so it was pretty easy and could be returned to stock easily.Yeah. The two tone red and black looks good. I don't remember seeing that anywhere before.
What primer and clear coating products did you use?
With some fenders there is a lot of drilling and the removal of the brackets that the stock fenders use. With that approach you don't have the option of easily replacing the original fenders if you want to.
This installation is almost plug and play.
Literally looks like a little big toy at this angle! Nothing like a 2 door JeepJust got the 35s.
I know the area. We go through there when traveling to and from Delaware.Something a little different and semi-unique to my area! Jeeps in covered bridges!
I should accept the challenge and go hunt down the covered bridges of NH and VT.I know the area. We go through there when traveling to and from Delaware.
There are quite a few covered bridges in eastern Quebec too, in the Bas Saint Laurent (Lower St. Lawrence) region. When I saw the photo I immediately checked to see if the clearance sign was in feet or meters-a dead giveaway as to which side of the border it's on.I should accept the challenge and go hunt down the covered bridges of NH and VT.
