I wish I could find the thread from a LONG time ago where I called this. I've seen fires on other vehicles with similar setups. You don't want heat and voltage running through the occupant cabin. Terrible idea. These new high-tech computers on wheels are a rolling fire looking for a place to happen.
Simple is good. 3.6L non-DI, non-FI, non-turbo, non-eTorque for the win, all day every day. In a few years, people will pay top dollar for 2018 models. That's my next prediction. The K.I.S.S. principle couldn't be more valid in today's automotive world.
