Finding the perfect hitch mount bike rack took a ton of research, but I believe I found the best one (for me at least!) Now getting it to work properly on the back of a Jeep Wrangler JLUR is another story. Here's my review and here's the story...

did you need a hitch extention and do you have the factory hitch?

I have the factory hitch and had to buy a CURT 45054 drop hitch extension to work with a Thule classic but not sure about the XT

Got it, couldn’t open the video at work,

Great review, I kind of wish I bought the xt instead of the classic but I am running a similar setup

Check out Hollywood Bike rack. Clips on spare tire. Does not block camera or prevent opening door. Mine is mounted on 35" MTR's. Cost about $130. Purchase from manufacturer, amazon, or E.Trailer.

I bought the quadratec 4 bike rack it is specifically designed for the jeep with the spare tire on back. It plugs into the hitch receiver and is very robust. It will effect departure angle, but when we are in moab, we just strap the bikes (one per jeep) to the rear roll bar with a ratchet strap. Easy on/off for those biking along side us in the jeeps and keeps the bikesnput of harms way.

Ya the 1up with a drop down hitch extension is the absolute best. Or better yet with a spare tire delete kit. Solves a lot of problems.
