I saw the title of this thread and clicked on it, but am not thrilled by the size or design. However, they are on the right track. :) Looking at the pics that Jerry provided, I'm sure an aftermarket design can be made where the guts of the current key fob can be transferred into a new casing without the "key" portion, thereby making the fob a lot smaller...which is what many of us want.

I have plenty of room in the back of my Jeep to carry my key fob...not an issue as far as I'm concerned.

To me it’s a good size. A lot of people must have tiny hands. My only problem was the key popping out, and accidentally setting off horn. Fob holster cured both issues.

Silly thread before you buy check key fob size. Most modern day fobs or large.
KEY FOB IS NOT AS BIG AS THAT CELL PHONE IN YOUR POCKET

Satire:

Sure @W5MQS , as long as you're not carrying other gear.;)

Looks like AJT design is working on a smaller key fob with the physical key that is stash inside the the fob.

Looks like it should be here in Feb and looking at other products they sale should be like 35 bucks.
I wonder if they could do one that's smaller for those not needing to take the physical key with them.

I’d make the shape different. It looks the same on both ends to me, be hard in the dark to tell how it was positioned in your hand, you might hit the horn instead of lock/unlock.

That's an excellent point @BillG. I have the same key fob and holster as you, barring the (remote start/passive entry????) meaning I need to reach into my pocket and press the button to open the doors.

….and one of the ways I know I'm hitting the open door button and not the panic button is my ability to blindingly palpate the spring loaded physical key circular metal button in the upper left hand corner.

I don’t have passive entry either. I lay my index finger along the slope of the front edge, and press buttons with my thumb. If I don’t feel the slope, I know the position is off.

I open the tailgate and then the whole family grunts and shoves the gigantic fob out the back like a boulder. I drop into 4 low and climb it with the front wheel so we can park full flex at the mall.

FCA slapped a truck box on a JLU and called it gladiator so you could drive around with the fob in the back. A couple months of that you will look like a gladiator too.

I like to do arm curls with my fob in the driveway while the wife is gardening and see if I can impress her.
