Problem with magnetic mount is my X max falls off during big bumps and the real deal breaker is you can’t charge wirelessly without removing cover which I like to charge wirelessly.

I use this in my vehicles. You stick one of the steel disks that comes with it somewhere on your dash, and the mount attaches to it with a magnet. It has never fallen off bouncing down Jeep trails in the TJ or autoxing the STI. I got mine in black though.

I see that you can attach something else to the front side like a camera, have you tried that? Also, how does that attach to the dash and how big of phone can you clip in there? thanks

It takes my 10 ax’s max so it should fit any hand held. I put my GoPro on when off reading to,record my wrecks. There are two screws under your existing mat - they come out in5 seconds and you just screw it down with them

I’m not a fan of my phone being visible in the window or on the dash. This one keeps it below. Also it’s wireless charging and has a USB port underneath if your phone doesn’t support wireless. It also plugs directly into the cigarette lighter port, so there’s no mounting involved - literally plug & play. I’m still able to shift 4WD also. It holds my iPhone X going over big bumps as well

I just received that exact same magnetic phone mount that plugs into the cigarette lighter. In my opinion what a piece of garbage! First off the plastic nut that adjust the pivot was completely stripped out I even took the magnetic part that goes on the case put it on my Galaxy Note put the phone back in the case sitting on my couch it wouldn't even hold the phone in my opinion completely worthless it's going back to Amazon immediately!
