I'll take it one step further. If you're worried about getting COVID, but your diet includes grocery shopping at a Starbucks drive-thru, you're also a part of the problem.

The laws of nature requires life to fight challenges such as these, not hide from them, in order to persevere and survive. This notion we're gonna starve out this virus by wearing masks, washing our hands all the time, and staying at home is absolutely ludicrous.

That fact that the number of exposures and infections are climbing rapidly, but deaths aren't, is a good thing. COVID will become yet another flu just like the hundreds of variants we're exposed to every single year. When the media has sucked this teat dry or has found something else to get totally wrong, hopefully the hysteria will die with it.

If wearing a mask makes you feel better, go for it. If avoiding crowds or public places makes you feel safer, then by all means stay away. But that's as far as it should go. Don't put your insecurities or vulnerabilities on everyone else. I have no desire to be a participant in the consideration of your body's shitty ability to survive a hard flu because you've punished your organs with lackluster health practices. Getting sick and dying of diseases your immune system would normally shuffle off with little effort is on you, not me.

Wanna fight COVID? Stop eating garbage every day. Go outside, soak in some sun, and breathe air that didn't originate from a basement furnace.

Corporate imperatives are clearly more important than the health of their workers. Pretty disgusting really.
They’re trying to appease LawrenceR because he’s the most important customer they have. To hell with the health of anyone else.
wearing mask, WEAAAAAR MASK OR YOU WILL DIE OR YOU WILL KILL ME while the other extreme goes - DON'T WORRY ABOUT WEARING MASK. MASK DOES NOT HELP. If you know that someone is a germaphobe and you want to spend some time with them, then wear a mask or take preventative measure
You’d better wear a mask when you’re around me. I tend to have putrid and vile flatulence. The mask may not save you.
I think there may be a difference in the English/American interface here.

My dear! Believe it or not, I grew up learning and speaking Queens NY English. One of the most greg things that I did here in United States was to tell a girl that she is "homely", warm, kind, matronly, caring.

She grabbed me by shirt, called me bad daddy, took me back to her apt and made the boom boom in her room room. At one point, she tied me up with a leather whip and spanked my buttocks until they turned Jeep purple. Oh well lesson learned.
 :handsinair:
Bro! Sorry I have to say this but you are a dic, inevitability that will happen and only those who adapt will survive.
Wow, there Ken goes again! :giggle:
Texgoat!! I am thinking that I am gonna give LOLLYPOP to MOLLY (intended) but I am just going to be more hardcore. :like:
Wow, just... wow. :giggle:

Bro! Sorry I have to say this but you are talking about the law of human being - to fight or flee (hide in your case) and its not the law of nature. The law of nature dictates the inevitability that will happen and only those who can adapt to these situation will survive.
Yes. Exactly. Adapt or die. Shutting down world economies, forcing people to stay home, curtailing rights and freedoms except when people want to go apeshit on police and statues isn't adaptation. It's submission. It's defeat. It's dying.

Your statement about wearing masks, washing hands and staying being ludicrous is - foolhardy. Your idea of fighting this virus is tantamount to taking unnecessarily risk, while sometimes it is important or wiser for someone just to be prudence and minimize risk. In every situation. Wearing a mask, washing hands and staying in is a form of minimizing risk - although some got overtly crazy and paranoid (spectrum opposite of yours) but people should not be condemned as being "ludicrous" for doing such thing. These moderate people that are more likely to be the survival of the fittest group as opposed to the extreme of both sides which are contenders of Darwin award!
I'm not condemning people for wearing masks, staying at home, or washing their hands. In fact, I'm all for it, but only at one own's discretion. Like I said in that exact same post, if you want to stay home to be safe or wear a mask to minimize risk, then by all means do.

I'm condemning the idea that employing such behavior on a global scale as the only solution. It is not. The virus is here to stay, probably forever, just like the flu. We need to adapt our bodies to deal with it appropriately just like the millions of other viruses, bacteria, and pathogens we're exposed to on a daily basis. This can be incredibly more successful when a daily walk alone doesn't involve pushing a cart with two cases of Mountain Dew.

COVID would probably be even less of a threat if people didn't eat crap all day long, stopped pounding medications, exercised, and stopped blindly following medical institutions that have nothing but a track record of failure. While we certainly have made some incredible breakthroughs and achievements in medicine just in the last few decades, this country still tends to get actual health very very wrong.

Quarantines, by definition, are for people who are sick. Putting a quarantine on everyone is what is ludicrous.

Don't worry my jeeple, these scare tactics will stop after the election. The socialist need you to vote by mail for SOME reason.

I work in the defense industry, we have worked every single day of COVID, and not from home either. Put your big boy pants on, get to work, wear a mask, and socially distance when possible, thats our company policy. Im not angry about it, either you want your job or you don't, if you don't well some one else will. Its called being an adult.

I work in the service/hospitality industry and I deal with this on a fairly consistent basis. I'm all for making your voice heard. If my employees have concerns, all I ask is for them to bring them to me so that we can talk through them and find a solution. I want my employees to be happy and to feel a sense of pride in their work and enjoy their job. If you can't voice your concerns like an adult or bring a potential solution to the table and just want to walk off the job and hurt other employees and my customers, then we have nothing to discuss. There's the door.
