Alright,

Was playing with tire sizes in my Jscan app in order to dial-in my new 315/70 tires. after a few tire size trials, I wanted to correct it one last time.
But I got distracted and opened the door before the requested 5 minutes. Thought that the worst case that could happen was that the new set tire diameter wouln’t register, but no….. drove a few feet and got the ā€˜ā€™service 4wd’’ message. Stopped and used the app to erase the code, properly re-did the tire size. Drove a few feet and that message came back. Erased it again, drove a few feet and it’s back. Any clue what the problem is ?

these are the codes…

Do a factory restore to factory settings and try adjusting tire size again.

Yeah ok, at this point I’ll try anything. I also messaged Jscan and waiting for input.

Alright guys, for futur reference on this subject, I have found the culprit.

Just as I was getting ready to return my Jeep back to stock, I decided to investigate further. Although I never touched it, my ECU had stored my axle gearing as 0.19 !?!?

I erased the error codes and corrected the axle gearing and all is well.

Seems like the fact that I opened the Jeep door before the required 5 minutes wait time after tire size setting, the ECU got all confused with misinformation.

Same thing happened to me! Ended up just shutting the engine off, clearing the code, turning ignition on, off, then started engine and the speedometer works just fine. If you tap on the ā€œ?ā€ Button it’ll give you the same instructions. Don’t know why I didn’t think of that first, lol.

Oh my thank God I found this thread. I’m dealing with this issue right now so I went back into JScan and I just noticed that my axle ratio was set to 0.00 after changing my tire size. Strange! I’ve had this thing at the dealer for a total of almost 5 months this year for this issue! Service 4wd, sway bar, collision warnings. Hopefully it’ll be fixed now

whatever you do, do not tell them that you fixed it with jscan. otherwise they'll figure out that they've been working on your Jeep for 5 months on a problem that you created. Can't be good ;)
