Fenders for Sport S Max Tow

Hey guys,

I’m trying to figure out the different fender options for the Sport S setup. From my understanding the Max Tow package that adds the wide axle D44s adds different fenders to the gladiator than what the Sport S normally comes with. Can anyone confirm whether or not those fenders are indeed the same ones that come on the Rubicon?

Also has anyone been able to order the Max Tow package and get the body colored matched fender flares? The build sheet shows it as an option and doesn’t appear to have a n/a for the max to package, but if you build it on jeep.com you can’t add those fenders with the max tow package.

They are not the same. Sport S w/ Max Tow does not get the Rubicon high clearance fenders.

On a Gladiator Sport S, the Max Tow Package w/4.10 Axle Ratio gets you:

• 245/75R17 All-Terrain Tires
• 4.10 Axle Ratio
• Heavy-Duty Dana 44 Wide Front Axle
• Heavy-Duty Dana 44 Wide Rear Axle
• Daytime Running Lamp System
• 240-Amp Alternator (Unavailable with some configurations)
• Class IV Receiver Hitch (Unavailable with some configurations)
• Heavy-Duty Engine Cooling (Unavailable with some configurations)
• Trailer Hitch Zoom (Unavailable with some configurations)

There's no mention of different fenders.

Max Tow flares are kind of like Sahara fenders with the black textured plastic and a lip on the edge visible in the photo below.

Thanks for finding that info Gregj! Now my question is whether they are actually LED markers that come with the LED package... seems that’s mentioned in the original post but it doesn’t look like the pictures posted yesterday are of LED side markers, I could be wrong. It’s be great if those are LED though!

I do not see a "Max Tow" package available in the latest order guide for a Sport S JLU or JL, there is only one tow package with no special fender flare. You might want to ask your question in the Gladiator forums, however if I remember correctly from perusing their board, you cannot get painted flares with the max tow, just the textured flares that come with the package. Also I don't believe LED fender lights are currently an option for Gladiator.

Yes you are correct there is no “Max tow package” for the JL... It’s on the Gladiator. Sorry again for the confusion!!
