Ok so I was getting the funk of my girl today and when I was cleaning up the wheels and hosing down the fender liners on the front passenger side I noticed a cable sticking out from behind the liner some right where the frame starts to arch down. I noticed the jacket had been cut through by the liner. The jacket was grey, kind of felt like silicone. I didn’t go fish a whole hell of a lot was in a slight hurry. Being the way the jacket felt and there being what looked like some exhaust wrapping behind it or so it seemed I’m guessing maybe the wires for an O2 sensor? I slid some high temp loom over it and zip tied at each end just so it didn’t keep digging and make it through the wires, then tried to tuck it up some. Figure I’ll point it out here shortly at her next service. I can snap some picks tomorrow, but just wanted to see if anyone else maybe has had this tiny issue or have a better idea on what that cable might be for.

If it was an O2 sensor that was cut, you would get a light on the dash.

I'd say send some pictures and try to follow where it goes. I had my drivers side fender liner rub the paint off the frame, so it's plausible that it would happen. There was something else too on the passenger side that after 5 years I noticed....maybe it was the FAD?

It didn’t cut through the wires I could see just the jacket/ sleeve. Slapped the loom over to hopefully prevent it from cutting the wires. No FAD on mine so it wouldn’t be that.
