Looking for recommendations on metal fender liners. Ran across the issue of OEM liners getting soft in high Texas heat and getting torn up from tires due to cross winds at highway speeds.

Many options out there. I went with rugged ridge… not flashy with huge branding and ridiculous mesh vents like many of the other brands. Quality build and fitment was great.

Do they work with OEM fender flares?

I really like these. Do you happen to know if they are a universal fit for any Trim level? Thanks

Looking at the website they list the following about OE flares.

Designed to work with trimmed OE flares and most aftermarket fenders

Ha - same thing happened to me around Amarillo. I’m working with a fab shop near me to put some custom liners in - will post when done.

It’s crazy they wouldn’t have put a better liner on it.

Yeah, I guess the good news is it was so flimsy I was able to cut the torn half of the liner off with a pocket knife in 30 seconds.

I had an issue on the interstate with a flapping inner fender... Turned out it was missing 1 plastic clip that held the fender in place on the lower front end near the frame... Was a $2 fix... Maybe that could be your issue?

I see that the DV8 has a mesh panel. The others are solid. Thoughts? My first thought is the mesh albeit good for ventilation will let dirt, water, snow etc. in whereas the solid has better protection.
